What Lancaster University Wanted...

Since 2018, The Fun Experts have been working with Lancaster University to embrace students that have come from overseas for the course of their education by holding events that welcome them to the UK with open arms. Fun Expert Dom has continually been a huge help in organising these events and making them a huge success and last week's Team Building Events was no exception. When Beth from Lancaster University approached us looking to hold a fun day of activities that would give overseas students a taste of UK culture and what teamwork means over here we got to work at putting together their fun-filled day of activity...

How The Fun Experts Responded...

Team-building Activities are something we have a lot of experience with, so we knew just the recipe for a successful event for Lancaster University that could be tailored perfectly to their needs. With the event lasting from 9am to 4pm, we wanted to create a timetable that would keep students engaged, on their toes and mostly importantly having fun for the full duration, as well as this it was important to capture a classic example of British camaraderie, which was why we centred the event around the idea of Sports Day. By putting together a package including a variety of activities such as Sack and Egg & Spoon Races, Inflatable Hungry Hippos and Wipeout, complete with a Winners Podium and trophy we were able to do just that.

The Final Result

 On the day of the event, students were split into two groups of 60 with one partaking in the games in the morning and the other in the afternoon and Dom along with members of our Events Team, Cat and Chloe, were pleased to see everyone getting stuck in from the off. Teams grabbed a coloured bib and eagerly took part in numerous rounds of games before the winners were announced and it was a close one!
